Job Description

We are seeking a support worker to provide non-term time and weekend support to a young, adolescent, male in the Kirkby area of the city.

The young man has a diagnosis of autism, ADHD and PDA, (Pathological Demand Avoidance). He has anxiety and accesses a wheelchair when in the community.

He enjoys being in parks and open spaces and loves technology.

He does not like crowds, however and you will need to be receptive to when he is uncomfortable and wishes to return home

The ideal candidate will be a driver, with access to their own car, (on shift mileage will be paid), be experienced in supporting a neuro diverse person, with a strong awareness of the challenges this can present to them.

You will be patient, reliable and have a genuine interest in supporting the independence of a disabled child.

Training in PDA, will be provided for the successful candidate.
